JACKSONVILLE, Fla. —
One person is dead and another injured after a shooting early Thursday morning on Myrtis Avenue on the Northside.
JSO responded to the 2900 block where they found 43-year-old Louis "Wayne" Cherry shot to death inside a van and 26-year-old Tavaris Kirkland critically hurt not far away in the middle of the road. They say he was taken to a local hospital and is in life-threatening condition.
Police are now trying to figure out whether the two men shot each other or if the shooter is still at large.
