Another step towards closing out the courthouse contract.
Jacksonville General Counsel Cindy Lacquidara has sent a letter to an outside law firm saying they may need assistance if they take any legal action against the new Duval County Courthouse contractor Turner Construction. She says notifying a firm is standard procedure in the contract close-out process.
Earlier this week, Mayor Alvin Brown told us on Jacksonville’s Morning News he plans to hold Turner responsible for cost overruns and delays.
“Because it’s tax payer money and there’s an expectation that when you pay for something you’re gunna get the service,” he says.
Lacquidara says, at this point, there has been no decision made on legal action.
