Is there a panther on the loose in San Marco?
The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office says they've received two separate reports of a panther sighting this week - once on Tuesday, then on Friday.
The wild animal was reportedly seen at the dead end of Lasalle Street and another sighting was behind 1501 Hendricks Avenue.
Officials with Florida Fish and Wildlife have been notified, but police are also offering the following advice to keep yourself safe: Be alert, supervise children, never approach a panther, keep pets safe and secure.
