New since Jacksonville’s Morning News we’ve learned the identity of the man shot and killed at a Southside Walmart.

Jacksonville Police say 20-year-old Anthony Blake Bannister died at a local hospital. 

Police had responded to the Chevron at 4024 Southside Blvd in reference to someone shot Tuesday night.  Investigators later determined Bannister had been shot while sitting in a car in the parking lot of a Walmart at 8808 Beach Blvd.  The shooter fled and the person driving the car drove away because he says he was scared, later stopping at the nearby gas station.
