Police investigating remains found by inmate crew

Jacksonville police are investigating remains found by an inmate cleaning crew in Grand Park.

It is still unclear whether the remains are human or from an animal, but the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office says the remains are "more likely than not" human. The Medical Examiner will make the final determination.

The bones were found covered in mud near 2500 Martha Street.
