JACKSONVILLE, Fla. —

24-year-old Brian Spooner has been arrested in connection to the string of lewd and lascivious incidents police have been investigating.

According to JSO he's been charged with 3 counts of lewd/lascivious exhibition with a victim under 16, and exposing sexual organs.

"I want to make as strong a case as I can against this guy, and put him in prison for some time where he belongs," said Chief of Detectives Tom Hackney at a news conference Wednesday evening.

Hackney lauded the public's efforts in providing police with information.  He said hours after the composite sketches were released to the news media, they had received several tips.

"It may be the one little thing that nobody thinks is  important that they make the call.  This is the case that led this to come to pass and lead us to having him in our custody."

Police first released the composite sketch of the suspect Tuesday.  Investigators say Spooner would pull up to young women in his newer, black Volkswagen beetle, and engage them in conversation.  When they approached his car, he would expose himself to them.

Police say out of the 6 reported cases, 5 victims ranged in age from 11 to 16.  One victim was age 20.
