Police: two victims in Jax Beach shooting

By Gene Wexler

JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla. —

Jacksonville Beach Police are investigating what they believe is a double shooting which left a woman in the hospital in serious condition and a teenager shot.

Sgt. Tom Bingham with JBPD says officers responded to the sound of gunfire around 11 p.m. Monday night at the intersection of 3rd Ave. South and 7th St. South.

That’s where they found Iesha Mann, 25, wounded in the middle of the street.  Bingham said she was airlifted to Shands Jacksonville because of her gunshot wounds.

Shands Jacksonville told WOKV around 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday that Mann is in serious condition.

At the same time officers were responding to Mann, they received word that a 17-year-old boy was checking into Shands Jacksonville with a non-life threatening gunshot wounds.

“Officers were able to determine that both subjects were injured at the same incident,” Sgt. Bingham said.

“As of right now detectives and investigators are working to establish a timeline and any possible related suspects to this case,” he said.

If anyone has information related to the crimes, they’re asked to call Jacksonville Beach Police Department at (904) 270-1661, or contact Crime Stoppers at 1-866-845-TIPS.
