Jacksonville, FL —
Police St. Johns County arrest a woman for murder and aggravated battery after a woman and her daughter were run over by an SUV in a parking lot Friday night. 56-year-old Rosa Lee Armstrong died from her injuries. Her daughter, 22-year-old Shaina Armstrong, was taken to Flagler Hospital to be treated for injuries. Police say the younger Armstrong had been involved in a domestic relationship with the suspect, and the two were involved in a fight earlier in the day.
Police arrested 24-year-old Candace Jackson and she is charged with second degree murder and aggravated battery. Deputies say the attack happened while the mother and daughter were walking in the parking lot of the Bank of America on U.S. 1 South in St. Augustine with other family members.
