Poll: Governor Scott's uphill climb to re-election

Jacksonville, FL —

We're seeing a new poll that shows what the path to re-election may look like for Governor Rick Scott.

The poll by Quinnipiac University shows 52% of registered voters say Scott does not deserve a second term.

And 53% of Republicans polled think another Republican should run against Scott in a GOP primary.  The poll shows that only 36% approve of the job he's doing.

The poll gives former Governor Charlie Crist a 47% favorable rating.

Scott narrowly beat Democrat Alex Sink in 2010 and has already said he plans to run in 2014.

The Quinnipiac University poll has a margin of error of plus or minus 2.8 percent.
