Presumptive Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney is making the first of what will likely be many stops in Jacksonville on Thursday.
He says he's only had one beer in his life and it doesn't look like he's going to double that total, not even for a Red Rooster Ale at the River City Brewing Company, where he'll greet supporters Thursday afternoon.
State Senator John Thrasher (R-St. Augustine) says we can probably expect a lot more of Governor Romney and probably our fair share of President Obama in the months to come as Florida will be one of the most hotly-contested states in November's general election.
"It obviously continues to be a critical state and one of the top two or three I'm sure that they will focus on. He [Romney] continues to focus on jobs, continues to focus on cutting spending, which we all know we have to do, and I think reminding people that we've got to repeal Obamacare."
Doors to the event will open at 1 p.m. with the event scheduled to start at 2 p.m. Members of the public are welcome to attend.
