The search for a St. Johns County robber stretches all the way to Tennessee.
Investigators said a middle-aged white woman attempted to rob a Denny's on State Road 16 Wednesday. She was first described as wearing glasses, a hoodie with gray hair.
Now, Sgt. Chuck Mulligan believes they may have new information about that woman. Someone matching that description had been asked to leave a local Travel Lodge for not paying her bill.
Detectives are now searching for 70-year-old Rebecca Berwick. She also goes by the alias, Becky Creed. She was last seen driving north on I-95 in a red or maroon pickup truck.
