Governor Rick Scott is skipping town this weekend --

Mayor Alvin Brown says Scott is focused on jobs for Florida, "But I always tell the governor he has to think about Jacksonville first."

As of Friday morning, Mayor Brown said he was going along, but later in the afternoon he cancelled saying he needs to stay at home and focus on his budget presentation for next week.

Governor Scott will be meeting with key aerospace industry leaders to attract long-term, high wage jobs to the area.

He plans to visit the world's leading market for specialist insurance, Lloyd's of London, and the Farnborough International AirShow.

In his first year-and-a-half as Florida's governor Scott has visited Brazil, Canada, Israel, Panama and Spain.
