It's deadline day for high speed rail...and Governor Scott is digging in, saying he does not want Florida taxpayers to be left holding the bag. His rejection of more than two billion dollars from the feds is angering Democrats like Senator Bill Nelson.
Nelson calls it pitiful that Scott would turn down the opportunity grow Florida's economy. "This is what the governor has done. He has made a big mistake because he's avoided a win-win-win for Florida," said Nelson.
Nelson suggests the Governor is exceeding his constitutional authority.
Scott says Florida taxpayers would end up footing part of the bill.
