Several people were hurt when an SUV rear ended a JTA bus on Beach Blvd. near St. Johns Bluff.
Police tell us the driver of the SUV died at the hospital. However, the driver of the JTA bus tried to administer CPR before he was transported from the scene.
The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office says nine passengers were taken to the hospital with injuries that are described as non life-threatening.
Police say they are still looking for a passenger who was in the SUV who left the scene. That person has not been identified yet.
Eastbound lanes of Beach Blvd. were blocked at St. Johns Bluff during the peak of morning drive, causing heavy delays during the morning rush.
