Jacksonville, FL —

A convicted sexual predator will be confined indefinitely.

Randall Alan Lamp will be indefinitely locked up at the Florida Civil Commitment Center in Arcadia, Florida after a jury determined he is a sexually violent predator likely to strike again.

In 1991, Lamp pled guilty to five counts of Lewd, Lascivious and indecent acts on young boys between ten and thirteen years old.  For that, he was sentenced to five years in prison and three years probation.

Lamp violated his probation twice in 1996- once failing to complete psycho-sexual treatment and once having unsupervised contact with children.

Experts have now determined Lamp has a personality disorder which makes him likely to engage in acts of sexual violence, and as such should be in a long term care facility.
