St. Johns County, FL —

The St. Johns County Sheriff’s office has one woman in custody who may be at the center of recent shootings in West Augustine.

Detectives were investigating the shootings when they served a search warrant on a home on the 400 block of Aiken Street.  The Sheriff’s Office has received numerous complaints about criminal activity in the home over the last few months, and they believe it is the center of organized criminal activity.

When detectives contacted the homeowners during the search they found 5 grams of cocaine. Belinda Joyce McKenzie was arrested for possession of cocaine with intent to sell within a 1000 feet of a place of worship or school, maintaining a drug dwelling, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The West Augustine shootings are still under investigation, and if you have any information you can call Detective Gene Tolbert at 904-209-3985 or Crime Stoppers.
