St. Johns County, FL —

The St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office is looking for an armed robbery suspect.

Robbery/Homicide detectives are investigating an incident early this morning.  A clerk at the Kangaroo convenience store on the 400 block of SR 16 says the suspect came in to the store with a shirt over his face just before 5 AM.  The suspect approached the counter and demanded money while implying he was armed.  The clerk did not see a weapon.

The suspect fled out of the door without any money or merchandise.  He was last seen running on Schallers Rd.

You can see the suspect pictured left.  He is about 5’9”, average build, short brown hair and was wearing a long sleeve flannel plaid shirt, dark blue shorts, and black sneakers.

If you have any information you are asked to call SJCSO Detective David Garns at 904-209-3982.  You can also submit an anonymous tip and be eligible for a reward by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-888-277-TIPS.
