St. Augustine's city council voting on a couple of important issues at tonight's meeting.
The first will be whether or not to allow people to drink alcoholic beverages on horse-drawn carriages so long as the operator has a commercial drivers' license. The hope is allowing drinks on the carriages will boost tourism in the city.
Also on the table whether or not to give $125 grand to the city manager for improvements around the parking garage in downtown with the hopes of helping business.
The money would be for storm water drainage, street lights, and sidewalk improvements along Treasury, Orange, Hypolita, and Spanish Streets.
