St. Johns substitute teacher arrested

Jacksonville, FL —

A substitute teacher is on his wayv out of the St. Johns County School District.

Matthew Atkinson is accused of possession of obscene materials.  The Superintendent is recommending termination for the 26 year-old.

Atkinson was arrested Friday night and released on bond the following day. We're told the charge against him does not involve contact with children.

Atkinson was a substitute at Mill Creek and Wards Creek Elementary School.
