Suspicious backpack leads to lockdown at Nassau County Courthouse
Jacksonville, FL —
An earlier lock down at the Nassau County Courthouse was cleared by 11:30am.
Sheriff Bill Leeper says someone drove up in a car, threw out a backpack, and left. While they don't believe it was anything serious, Leeper says the Boston Marathon bombing proved they have to take situations like this serious.
The courthouse was locked down nearly 90 minutes. The bomb squad from Jacksonville was called in to investigate the backback.
