Threats sent to Jacksonville offices of U.S. Senators

By Tiffany Griffith

Jacksonville, FL —

For the second time in as many days, HAZMAT Teams have crowded Prudential Drive on the Southbank.

Yesterday, it was a supposed threat of white powder being sent to the Jacksonville office of Senator Bill Nelson. Today, an envelope with white powder was sent right across the street to the Jacksonville office of Senator Marco Rubio.

Investigators say no one was injured in either incident, and yesterday's substance turned out to be corn starch, not anthrax.

No suspects have been connected to the crime just yet and no motives have been made public, but the offices of both senators say they're taking the threats seriously and they're taking every precaution.
