Original article: The search is on for the person responsible for an overnight hit-and-run that has left one person dead.

The Florida Highway Patrol tells WOKV they still have little information on who is responsible for this Westside death.

Around 10 PM, a person walking eastbound next to Timuquana Road was hit by a van driving in the same direction.  This happened just west of Seaboard Avenue.

The blue van may have sustained front end damage as a result of the crash.  If you have any information about the incident you can call FHP at 904-695-4000.

The person's name has not yet been released but we know it is a Jacksonville resident who is 46 years old.
