A Tropical Storm Watch is in effect for parts of Northeast Florida.
As of Wednesday morning, the watch includes coastal Duval and coastal Nassau. All of St. Johns is also under the Tropical Storm Watch until further notice.
Tropical Depression #9 is expected to bring heavy rain, gusty winds, and the possibility of isolated tornadoes Thursday through Friday.
A high rip current risk and building seas and surf are already present at our area beaches.
Meanwhile, Florida Governor Rick Scott declared a state of emergency in 42 counties, including all five NE Florida Counties (Duval, Clay, St. Johns, Nassau, Baker).
