A Jacksonville man convicted of sexual abuse on a child will spend the rest of his life in prison.
39-year-old Clifton McNeil Brooks has been sentenced to two life terms and is now designated a sexual predator.
The State Attorney’s Office says Brooks sexually abused a girl from 2003 to 2005, beginning when the girl was seven years old. The victim told her mother, who then told police.
He was convicted earlier this month of sexual battery and lewd or lascivious molestation.
