A suspicious package investigation turns in to a meth bust in St. Augustine Beach.
Police tell us they were called to the tree line of Lee Drive Sunday morning to a reported suspicious package. They discovered a black gym bag with chemicals and paraphernalia used to manufacture meth.
A witness reported seeing a man and woman drop off the bag and walk away. Two people matching the description, 34-year-old Zach Kneisley and 27-year-old Whitney Mills, were spotted a short time later by police leaving a CVS on A1A.
Police say the pair was sweating and restless. Additional paraphernalia and drugs were located, and investigators believe the bag belongs to Kneisley.
Both have been charged with possession with intent to manufacture a controlled substance.
