JACKSONVILLE, Fla. —
Four people were taken to various hospitals but are expected to be OK following a chain reaction crash on I-95 between MLK and Golfair Blvd.
Around 6 a.m. two Jacksonville Sheriff's Office cruisers and an empty school bus from a private company were involved in the crash. Police tell us an earlier crash involving an overturned car on the side of I-95 north brought JSO out there originally. But as a black SUV tried to get on the interstate from the 20th Street on ramp, it slammed into the side of a semi towing two trailers in the center lane.
The car stayed attached to the semi and the two vehicles drifted into the school bus, and then they all slammed into the JSO cruisers on the side of the road. The mess came to rest down an embankment.
Traffic on I-95 northbound has been slow since the crash happened and there are slight delays on 95 south due to onlookers. There are no reports of serious injuries to anyone.
