A 22-year-old Jacksonville woman is accused of stabbing the family dog seven times for the thrill of it.
She tells police she did it because she wanted to know what it felt like.
Police say 22 year-old Mariessa Caggiano stabbed the ten-year-old female Labrador Retriever once in the driveway and six more times in the neighbor's yard.
According to the news partner Channel 4, the dog is not expected to survive.
Police were called to the home on Cove Landing Drive at Mayport around 9pm Monday. Caggiano is charged with cruelty to animals.
