A Clay county woman sustained serious injuries after being attacked by a pack of pitbulls.
61-year-old Karen Carter was mauled by 6 dogs that belonged to her son, Derek. She was riding a golf cart between her property and her son's when it happened.
Carter sustained severe injuries to one of her legs, police say she may lose it.
The dogs are in the custody of Clay county Animal Control and Care. Their future is unknown.
