The Jacksonville Sheriff's office announed Wednesday they have arrested the suspect from an Applebee's shooting earlier this month.
Police say Anthony Lamar Simmons is the man responsible for approaching a group of people who were hanging out at the Applebee's on August 4th after the restaurant had closed. It all happened at the Applebee's on 103 and Blanding.
Investigators say Simmons acted as though he was a panhandler when he approached the group and asked for money. Officials say he shot two individuals after they gave him $2. They were sent to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
