Michelle Shirk has filed for divorce from Public Defender Matt Shirk.
Matt Shirk has been under fire since our news partner Action News began investigating claims of misconduct inside the public defender's office last July.
Former employees told our news partner Matt Shirk flirted with young female staffers. We also obtained questionable text messages and emails Shirk exchanged with female employees.
In August, Gov. Rick Scott appointed a special prosecutor to review the public defender's office.
