Jags owner Shad Khan welcomed the CEO and team captain of the Fulham Football Club at Everbank Field Friday.
Last week, Khan bought the English Premier League team for $224 million. Khan is now the only person who owns 100% of a NFL franchise and 100% of a premier league club. Khan says he is excited to lead both teams.
"I am absolutely delighted, pleased to see the excitement we had in Jacksonville over our Fulham announcement last week."
Khan says the opportunity happened very quickly and that he was fortunate to complete the deal.
President Mark Lamping says the Jags and the Fulham team will operate independently but says they will share their strengths when appropriate. He calls it business as usual.
"Shad, as you know, has made it clear that he intends to building Jacksonville into a global brand and the baseline of that vision is the home games we will play in London, one game during each of the next four seasons."
Lamping says it will increase revenue and also strengthen the Jags brand.
