Jacksonville golf fans will get to see Tiger Woods at The Players, as he has committed to this years tournament,  the tenth anniversary of his memorable 2001 win at Sawgrass.

Injury had raised t he possibility of Woods' missing The Players, where he has never missed the cut in 13 appearances. Woods did not compete in the Wells Fargo Championship due to injury. 

Last year Woods withdrew six holes into the final round in with a neck injury after carding rounds of 70-71-71 over the first three days.

Woods 2001 win is well remembered for the “Better Than Most” birdie putt from 60 feet on No. 17.  Woods will arrive at TPC Sawgrass for his first start on the PGA TOUR since finishing T4 last month at the Masters Tournament.  .
