Suspect in police shooting at JIA turns himself in

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office says 20-year-old Rodney Addison, the man wanted in connection with a police shooting at the rental parking garage at JIA Wednesday has turned himself in.

Investigators say they were following up on an arrest warrant Wednesday which eventually led them to the first floor rental parking garage at JIA. JSO says the suspects rammed their car into police cruisers causing officers to fear for their life. Police say an officer fired three rounds into the car which resulted in a non-life threatening injury for one suspect. Investigators took two suspects into custody but were still searching for Addison and a possible fourth suspect.

Addison faces several charges. They include attempting to elude law enforcement, reckless driving, possession of cocaine, driving on a suspended license and auto theft.

JSO says this still an active, ongoing investigation.

Authorities are still searching for at least one another individual in connection with the incident.
