The Bradford County Sheriff's deputies arrested two people in connection with a convenience store robbery.
Police say the robbery happened just before 8:00 p.m. Tuesday night at the Kangaroo Store on State Road 231 in Brooker. Investigators say 25-year-old Michael Jay James robbed the clerk at gunpoint. Deputies say 24-year-old Ashley Rae Baer drove the getaway car.
Witnesses informed police where the car was headed and authorities later arrested the pair. Police say James confessed to the robbery because he needed money for drugs.
Both Baer and James were booked into the Bradford County Jail. They face robbery charges with a firearm and assault with intent to commit a felony.
