JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Jaguars stayed aggressive on the offensive side of the ball trading with San Francisco to get back into the second round to take receiver Allen Robinson out of Penn State with the 61st overall pick in the NFL Draft.
Robinson, 6-foot-3 220 pounds, saw major production as a sophomore and junior after seeing little action as a true freshman in 2011. In his three seasons as a Nittany Lion he totaled 177 catches for 2,479 yards and 17 touchdowns.
Robinson is the second receiver the Jaguars have selected in the second round on Friday, after taking Marqise Lee out of USC with the 39th overall pick.
The Jaguars gave up the 70th overall selection and 150th overall (fifth round) selection to move back into the second round to take Robinson.
Unless they move back into the third round Friday, their next pick will be Saturday in the fourth round (105th overall)
