At Least 22 Dead in Suicide Attack on Funeral in Northern Iraq
Turmoil in northern Iraq after a suicide bomber disguised as a mourner kills at least 22 people at a Shiite mosque. Medical workers scramble to treat the wounded One man has to be pulled from the body of a loved one. More than 50 people were wounded after the bomb was detonated in the middle of a crowded funeral ceremony. The attack comes as the Shi'ite-led government faces pressure from mass Sunni protests raising fears the country could slide back into sectarian conflict.
