FBI plans a $1 billion face recognition database

The FBI is ready to implement a $1 billion program that can pick out and recognize faces on a busy street using surveillance camera footage. Using face recognition technology, along with biometric tools like iris scans, DNA analysis and voice identification, the FBI’s arsenal for tracking down criminals is getting very high tech.
