The Daily Digit today is $248,900. That is the median sale price of a new single-family home in the United States, according to Commerce Department data released on Friday. The number reflects an almost 14% hike compared to a year ago, which could provide a reason of slowing demand. New home sales dropped 7.3% last month to a seasonally adjusted 369,000-unit annual rate. Some analysts believe, it is a temporary blip as the U.S. housing market continues its gradual recovery.
