Kurds in Mass Funeral For Activists
Tens of thousands of Turkish Kurds gather to bid farewell to three Kurdish activists killed in Paris last week. The three women, including a co-founder of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers Party, were killed in execution-style shootings. Many see the crime as an attempt to derail a nascent peace process between the Turkish state and the guerrillas.
