Mali PM Quits After Arrest
Mali's prime minister offers his resignation. "At this moment of crisis, men and women who are worried about the future of our nation want a calm situation," he said in a televised address. After being arrested by soldiers while trying to leave for France, it was unclear whether Cheick Modibo Diarra was forced to step down. The African nation is already divided, with the north occupied by al Qaeda-linked militants following a March coup.
