Newton's Children Celebreate Christmas Eve
A still-grieving community in Newton, Connecticut celebrates Christmas with the memory of a mass school shooting still fresh in their minds. Twenty children and six adults were killed when a gunman opened fire inside the Sandy Hook elementary school earlier this month. During a Christmas Eve service at the Trinity Episcopal Church, reverend Kathleen Adams-Shepherd barely mentioned the shooting, focusing instead on the children who attended the service.
