Newtown's Children at Church For Christmas
A still-grieving community in Newtown, Connecticut attends Christmas worship with the memory of a mass school shooting fresh in their minds. Twenty children and six adults were killed when a gunman opened fire inside the Sandy Hook elementary school earlier this month. During a Christmas Eve service at the Trinity Episcopal Church, Reverend Kathleen Adams-Shepherd barely mentioned the shooting, focusing instead on the children who attended the service.
