Pakistan Blasts Death Toll Tops 100
Bloodied clothing lies strewn outside a snooker hall after twin explosions claimed more than 80 lives in the Pakistani city of Quetta on Thursday. A banned Sunni group claimed responsibility for the suicide and car bomb attacks in this predominantly Shi'ite neighbourhood. It's the worst violence against Shias here in decades, and Shi'ite leaders have called on the military to seize control of the provincial capital to protect the Muslim minority.
