Sporting Goods Chain Drops Assault Rifle After Newtown Shootings
Dick's Sporting Goods has pulled all guns from the shelves of its store closest to the site of the Newtown massacre, and suspended the sale of certain kinds of semi-automatic rifles from its stores nationwide. The AR-15 type Bushmaster assault rifle, like the one Adam Lanza used in his shooting spree at Sandy Hook Elementary, can no longer be found here. Shoppers had mixed feelings.
