Unexploded WWII Shell Forces Japan Evacuations

An unexploded World War II shell discovered near Hamamatsu City in October 2012 is detonated in a controlled explosion on Sunday. Weighing more than 850 kilos, the shell is believed to have been dropped by the U.S. Air Force during the Second World War. Local train travel was disrupted and thousands of local residents were evacuated from the area.
