Nor'Easter Drops Heavy Wet Snow On East Coast
A 13-year-old girl says a "natural instinct to help people" brought her to the aid of an elderly couple who, police said, were being assaulted by a mentally disabled man Monday afternoon.
Jordan Ledyard was hit in the face as she and others tried to help the couple to safety in a nearby building, police said.
"It was like a lot of adrenaline," Jordan said Monday afternoon at the Branford Police Department. "I was like shaking."
