If you took off the weekend from the news, you didn't miss much in the all important numbers game of the Democratic Presidential race.
Only a handful of superdelegates put their cards on the table this weekend, as the story line was no different than in recent weeks, with Barack Obama getting a small edge again on Hillary Clinton.
As of now, Obama needs about 50 delegates (depending on which campaign or which news organization is doing the tabulation) to clinch the Democratic nomination for President.
We have three contests left at this point, with Puerto Rico voting on Sunday June 1, followed by Montana and South Dakota on June 3.
Too bad the race wasn't truly neck-and-neck, because I would have enjoyed going out to South Dakota and/or Montana for a little last minute politicking.
At least those two states will see a bit of a Political economic stimulus from the Democratic candidates and the media.
Clinton is in Puerto Rico again on this Memorial Day, the third straight day of campaigning in that US territory, which doesn't get to vote for President in November, but strangely could give Clinton a huge boost in terms of popular votes in the Democratic race.
While she is favored there, Obama would seem to be the favorite in Montana and South Dakota, but we'll see what happens a week from Tuesday.
If Obama manages to get 20 superdelegates over the next week, he could be on the cusp by Tuesday June 3 of getting the delegates he needs in the final two primaries to declare victory.
We'll see what happens. In the meantime, go back to the barbeque and get yourself another hot dog.
