The Drama Continues

Previous Posts

Like I said yesterday this week was going to slow down a bit and it has so far. But that doesn’t mean we didn’t see some big news. The biggest news of all was for a guy who decided to NOT sign a deal, Randy Moss is officially retiring. He will go down as one of the best receivers to ever play the game. Second all time in receiving touchdowns and 100 yard games, 5th in receiving yards and 8th in catches. He was rumored to have offers from a couple teams including the Patriots but I guess he didn’t like the money. I do have a feeling we haven’t heard the last of Randy Moss, I’m not saying h will become the next Farve but I can definitely see a comeback in the future.

Jags were busy yesterday signing a few guys including a 300lbs guard Wade Grayson. Grayson was a two year starter at Arkansas. Jags also put wide receiver Nate Hughes and linebacker Eric Gordon on the roster but the biggest news involved a tight end. Probowler Marcedes Lewis made his debut in camp after a short holdout. Lewis still wants a new deal and that’s all the holdout was about, making a statement to the front office.

Around the rest of the league yesterday two running backs returned home, Cerdric Benson is back in Cincy and Ahmad Bradshaw is still a Giant. Unfortunately for the G-Men, one guy wants to leave the team; D-lineman Osi Umenyiora is looking for a trade partner. Good news for Derrick Harvey, he had no problem finding work. He heads to Denver to play with Timmy Tebow.

Today we will see a few more deals and we still have first rounder that need contracts. Not to mention a hold out of one of the top receivers in the game Desean Jackson.
