So looking over the top stories over the past day nothing really stands out as a huge topic but there are a bunch of little stories. So I figured today I’d give you a buffet of opinions on topics ranging from cuts, to millionaires, to a reason more guys will watch Dancing with the Stars than ever before. Like any good buffet line we start with the appetizers.

The apps are usually light and designed to hold you over until you’re ready for the big meal. Starting it off today is the first cut day in the NFL, these are the light cuts. Teams have to get their rosters down to 80 players by 4pm, this cut isn’t the hard one and most guys let go you’ve never heard of. Once in a while you see a big name player fired but that’s usually out of respect so he has a chance to make another roster. A couple guys not getting cut are Peyton Manning and Michael Vick.

Let’s get to the meat and potatoes of yesterday’s action; these are the stories that will dominate your morning headlines. Peyton Manning stepped on the practice field for the first time this season yesterday. He’s been on the PUP all preseason. Right now he’s only in a limited role and it’s still a mystery if he will be able to play by week one. And say what you want about Michael Vick but you have to give the guy credit.  I mean he went to jail, managed to turn his life around, talk to and motivate children to not make his mistakes, and he gets rewarded with a 6 year 100 million dollar deal from the Eagles. I always find it funny that when a TV interview or Facebook post is put up about Vick the people that trash him the most and say he shouldn’t never get a second chance, are the same people that call themselves Christians. I thought that was one of the main principles, you know turn the other cheek, to forgive divine, treat others like you want to be treated. Now that I’ve giving you all that to digest, it’s time for the dessert.

Ahhh dessert, that sweet indulgence that you feel guilty about afterwards but wouldn’t take it back if you had the chance. The perfect story came out yesterday to represent dessert, at least for the guys. The Dancing with the Stars roster was just released for this season and highlighting the athletes this year is Hope Solo. Now be honest guys during that Women’s World Cup tourney how many of you picture Solo running around in a tight little revealing outfit. Well we all get our wish, let’s just hope Solo is one of the last contestants let go.
