Not A Normal Day After The All Star Game

Traditionally this is the slowest sports day all year long, no MLB games, all the other major leagues are off, and highlights on ESPN tomorrow would just be from the ESPY awards but this year is different. This year there is a lot going on to talk about.

First up you have the NFL lockout, no deal is done yet but with any day now we could get the word that a deal in place. Next it’s probably the biggest event of all worldwide, the Women’s World Cup Semifinals. The Americans will take on France at noon today, winner of that one heads to the championship game to play either Sweden or Japan. And finally we see the start of the British Open, I know it technically starts tomorrow but since a lot of people will still be awake at 1:30 am when it tees off I still count it.
